Book Shine Design offers 3 different book cover packages:
Basic, Standard, and Premium.

The Basic package includes a high definition .jpg and .png file of a front cover for an e-book. Normal stock images are used. Basic includes two alterations such as a change of font or a color adjustment. Additional cost for a customized illustration.
The Standard package includes a high definition .jpg, and .pdf of a full cover – front, spine, and back – that can be used for both e-book and print. Three alterations are included. Normal stock images are used. Additional cost for a customized illustration.
The Premium package includes a full cover plus mock-ups and advertisements of your book for social media promotion.  Three alterations are included.  Standard and premium stock images can be used. Additional cost for a customized illustration.

We can also format the interior layout of your book to make it match the look of your cover. This includes typesetting as well as using fonts for chapter headings that match your cover fonts, and using any additional graphic elements that can help support the theme of your book.

We also offer customized illustrations that you can use for your book or for any other purpose.  Sometimes altering a stock image just isn't enough to convey your idea.  If that's the case, let us work with you to create an illustration that is unique and customized just for you.

Although we can produce covers for any genre, we specialize in mystery fiction covers.

Our costs vary on the package you choose:
A pre-made cover costs $75
Basic package costs $100
Standard is $150
Premium is $200
Typesetting and formatting is $50 per 50,000 words
Customized illustrations start at $50 for a basic line drawing of a single element, and can be up to $300 for a full color illustration with multiple elements.

Yes- If your books are part of a series or are very similar looking.

On average, it takes 3-7 days, depending on the complexity of the cover.
Formatting and typesetting also takes 3-7 days, depending on the length and complexity of the book.
An illustration takes 3-7 days, depending on the complexity of the drawing or painting, such as the number of figures or items, or if it is colored.

Pre-mades are paid in full upfront.
Basic, Standard, or Premium packages require a 50% deposit upfront and the remainder after the cover is delivered.

We retain full rights to all of the covers, but the authors have full rights to use the covers to sell their books.
